Beauty in Decay

This bronze and copper tree is set on to driftwood and decorated with a Labradorite dragon egg, handmade dungi, dried moss, snail shells and flowers.

This sculpture deomnstrates the importance of deadwood in an exosystem. A fallen tree can become home to numerous types of moss, lichen, and fungi, it is captivatingly beautiful, a feast for the eyes.

There is something profoundly majestic, poignant and comforting when the death of an ancient tree is able to support an abundance of new life.
